I appreciate and admire the art of acting, depth, humor, and creativity. It's a subject close to my heart, and therefore able to move me to the very core. Here are a few movies I love (in no particular order): The Karate Kid (Jaden and Jackie, 2010), Fly Away Home, Corrina Corrina, End of the Spear, Sister Act 1 and 2, Harry Potter (all, but most favorite are I think 3, 5 and higher) , Sense and Sensibility (film with Alan Rickman or the 3 part BBC series), Notting Hill, Patch Adams, White Wolves a cry in the wild II (with Matt McCoy) The Three Fugitives, 28 days, La Vita è Bella, Billy Elliot, Little Miss Sunshine, Stick It, Secret Garden, The Shawshank Redemption, Million Dollar Baby, Man on Fire, Bruce Almighty, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Uptown Girls, Don't say a word, PiratesOTC, mrs.Doubtfire, Coming to America, Jumpin' Jack Flash, Employee of the Month, Legally Blonde, Miss Congeniality, Nell, Jumanji, The Climb, Finding Nemo, Ice Age 1, 2, 3, Madagascar 1, 2, Spirit, E.R. (old seasons) , The Pretender, The Invisible Man (with Vincent Ventresca), Dr. Quinn, Judging Amy, Will&Grace, Army Wives, Star Trek Voyager, The Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan, Supernanny with Jo Frost, Cold Case, Grey's Anatomy, and much more. The Lord of the Rings movies also belong to my list. I love the friendship between Frodo and Sam. There's something about leaving everything behind and doing something important, full of meaning, that gets to me. To hell and back together. It creates a bond of friendship beyond words.
Music:
I love music, and I love many different styles and artists, depending on how I feel. ♫ To name a couple of songs I came to love in 2011: "Paradise" by Coldplay. "Lily's Theme" by Alexandre Desplat, "In Noctem" by Nicholas Hooper, "The Story" / "Grace" by Sara Ramirez.
Books:
My most favorite are 'Redeeming Love' from Francine Rivers and the 'Harry Potter' books by J.K. Rowling (I love Harry's story, and the Prince's Tale, both so sad and deep and intensely beautiful, and the phenomenal ending in the last book brings it all together in the best possible way).
