Introducing MICHAEL GOREY. . .
Michael's interest in music began at an early age. Saturday morning lessons at the Gaelic College gave him an appreciation of his Celtic and Maritime roots. He went on to study guitar with James MacDonald of North Sydney, and later minored in music at St. Francais Xavier University.
Capable of playing traditional Maritime music, Folk, Jazz, Rock, and Blues, Michael is also a songwriter, and has finished working on his first solo EP of original material with his collaborator, Adrianne Chapman at Harmonic Wave Studios in Halifax, NS. He has been playing and writing songs for 10 years now.
As former lead guitarist for the rock band Faded Blue, Michael played and contributed to writing on their debut album "The Blue Mountain Gate", recorded at Feswick Productions in Summerville, NS. Some past bands that Mike has played in include Heavy G, Joking, Definitely Maybe, and Faded Blue. Mike currently lives in Dartmouth, NS, and plans on making music his life long career.
