Okay, so coupla things I noticed about 1.8: Peaceful mobs hace an area they spawn in. IE. Only sheep spawn in tundra. Cows spawn more readily in plains. Chickens for some reason like swamps.

Also, I notice that almost all seeds I see made spawn the player in Tundra.
