About this user

Awarded "the most talented young pianist in Europe" from age seven, "a
firework of talent", "who possesses what cannot be taught", - at fifteen
the BBC dubbed pianist and composer Oliver Poole "a master of the
piano". This year, Oliver has been the feature of special reports by Russia
Today, Culture TV, News 24 and the BBC, among others. A medal has been
awarded to him by the Russian government for services which encompass
his music and charity work - chiefly with Siberian Appeal, which he
founded in 2008 to raise funds and awareness for children hospitalized in
Siberia. Notable recent engagements include playing with the St
Petersburg Philharmonic, performing for the British Royal family, ensemble
concerts at the Royal Albert Hall and appearances at festivals including
the Musical Kremlin, Tuscan Sun & Serenata Festival. His acclaimed
compositions for solo piano, notably Altitude, are available to download
from online music stores. Oliver is an artist of the Swiss Global Artistic
Foundation and is a Foundation Scholar at the Royal College of Music.
2011 engagements include performances at Cadogan Hall, Steinway Hall,
HEMIHELP Gala Ball at the Savoy Hotel, Festival Del Sole Napa
Valley, Kremlin Festival Moscow, Tuscan Sun Festival Italy and also
Tchaikovsky's 1st Piano Concerto with the Russian National Orchestra on
tour in Philadelphia.
