See clips of NYC based Singer/Songwriter/Producer and Keys man Oli Rockberger
About Me:
Whether you first discover Oli Rockberger as a solo artist singer-songwriter, prodigious song-sweetening keys sideman, electronic track-mongerer alongside Mister Barrington, or producer/songwriter/arranger for other gifted artists, you'll find a distinctive musical touch across the rich and varied work he does. Oli, whose musical talents have brought him from North London birthplace Finchley to Brooklyn New York City where he now plies his musical trade, has shared stages and studios with musical icons Levon Helm & Jackie DeShannon, Grammy Winners Randy Brecker & Jesse Harris, hip-hop royalty Common & Queen Latifa, and jazz luminaries Les McCann & Charlie Hunter (...Oli even managed to resist the temptation to discredit any shred of credibility by asking for autographs along the way). As a solo artist, he has shared bills with Maceo Parker, Jamie Cullum and Roy Haynes, and has performed at prestigious venues and festivals across the US, Europe, Asia, Australia and South America including The Lincoln Center (NYC), The Jazz Cafe (London), The Royal Albert Hall (London), The Barcelona Jazz Festival, The London Jazz Festival, The Cotton Club (Tokyo) and the John MayerCraft Cruise Music Festival (Bahamas). When in NYC, you'll often find him on stage at the Rockwood Music Hall either leading his own group, backing up fellow singer-songwriter and countryman James Maddock (for whom Oli has contributed piano on the last 3 albums), or supporting Cariad Harmon, whose debut album "Four Letters" was co-produced by Oli and received a 3 star review in Rolling Stone back in 2008. Current work includes a brand-new forthcoming studio album "Old Habits", co-produced with NYC based producer/engineer Chris Abell (stay tuned for release info), while Oli's collaborative electronic project Mister Barrington, formed alongside renowned drummer/producer Zach Danziger & bassist/producer Owen Biddle of "The Roots" fame, will be releasing a follow-up to their acclaimed self-titled debut later this summer. When "off-duty", rumor has it that you are likely to find Mr Rockberger at the famed Rockwood Music Hall sipping on a jack and ginger whilst enjoying a midnight set of a fellow NYC songman or songstress.

... Absolutely stunning. The mark of a great vocalist... when you believe and feel what they're singing about. Gorgeous lyric. Some of your chord choices just send goosebumps from my head to my toe. Your solo ... you're chasing after "Lady Music" herself - Phew.... My ears have been taken on such a journey. Thankyou.
