The Beatles are actually my first musical love. The 60's Stones were really great, but I'm not a fan of a lot of their later stuff. They probably should have stopped a little after Brian died, but that's just my opinion. :]
You're right- It is quite a bit like a painting.

I think my first album was "Rubber Soul", by the Beatles.
Well... First album I bought with my own cash. 6th grade, that was.

Actually, Nez wrote "Papa Genes Blues", he and Carole King collaborated on "Sweet Young Thing", and I think there might have been another songwriter, too.
But Mister Diamond did write most of the songs on "The Monkees".Obsessive Monkee-nut. Gotta know this stuff, yeknow? XD
