Okuma America Corporation is the U.S.-based sales and service affiliate of Okuma Corporation, a world leader in CNC machine tools, founded in 1898 in Nagoya, Japan. Okuma's innovative and reliable CNC machining technology, paired with comprehensive, localized service protection, allows users to run continuously with confidence and maximize profitability. Along with its industry-leading distribution network (largest in the Americas), and Partners in THINC, Okuma facilitates quality, productivity and efficiency, empowering the customer and enabling competitive advantage in today's demanding manufacturing environment.

CNC Machines

Long known as a manufacturer of CNC lathes, Okuma's product line also includes vertical machining centers, horizontal machining centers, double-column machining centers, multitasking CNC machines, 5-axis CNC machines, grinders, and wheel machines. All Okuma CNC machines deliver high throughput, high accuracy, and reliability to production and job shop CNC machining operations.

THINC®-OSP CNC Controls and Software

Okuma was the first CNC machine tool manufacturer to offer a truly open-architecture CNC control. The THINC®-OSP CNC control and software products ensure that Okuma CNC machines and programs perform at optimum speed, reliability and accuracy.

Markets

Okuma provides advanced metal-cutting technology to a wide variety of industries. Okuma products are well suited for markets having demanding CNC machining specifications.

Distribution Model

Okuma sells to manufacturers exclusively through distributors. This focus has been in place for several decades, resulting in the creation of the largest independently-owned distribution network in the Americas.

Service

Okuma is the only CNC machine tool manufacturer that offers comprehensive Okuma CARE (Constantly Available Resource Experts) service offerings. Okuma is the one source for all customized service requirements, offering a true lifeline of support to customers.

Partners in THINC

Partners in THINC is a collaboration network of more than 40 CNC machining industry leaders who come together to solve problems and explore new productivity ideas for real-world manufacturers. With the open architecture, PC-based THINC-OSP CNC control as its nucleus, Partners in THINC brings specialized equipment, expertise and a commitment to provide the best possible integrated solutions to the end-user.
