It sounds unlikely to me that the pianist is Johnny Alf himself. Alf's style (as documented on youtube) is a bit more classic than that.

The beauty is not only the song itself nor theinterpretation but aso the intelligence of the orchestration (strings, flutes -harmonised flutes!-, discrete and rich at the same time). Splendido lavoro!
