54 views 2 months ago
We asked ourselves; what's the most important part of any healthcare experience in one of our hospitals? Our answer; in addition to delivering high-quality care, we make the experience as positive as possible for our patients and their families!

Healthcare From the Patient Perspective Play

Orthopedic Care Play

Did you know that back and joint pain are the No. 1 reason Americans visit the doctor? Due to multiple spine and orthopedic conditions, millions suffer unnecessarily. If you are among those coping with debilitating back or joint pain, the experienced orthopedic and spine specialists at Ogden Regional Medical Center's Total Joint Pain Center can help.

Our team includes skilled and experienced physicians who specialize in orthopedics, neurosurgery and spinal surgery. They work with physical therapists to provide high-quality surgical and non-surgical treatment options.

Emergency Care Play

Ogden Regional Medical Center invested more than $11 million into expanding and renovating its Emergency Department and Level II Trauma Center in 2007. Having doubled in size, the center now offers 17 fully-equipped private patient rooms.

The entire department features state-of-the-art technologies, including a command post in the center of every room that allows the medical staff to continuously monitor each patient's status. Other benefits include a voice-activated computer system, electronic patient charting program, automated electronic medication administration record (eMAR) system and advanced diagnostic equipment.

Ogden Regional is the first hospital in northern Utah to earn national verification as a Level II Trauma Center from the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Committee on Trauma. ASC verification - the highest level of achievement for hospital-based programs - is evidence of our commitment to high standards of care for our trauma patients.

Cancer Care Play

If you have been diagnosed with cancer, it's natural to feel concerned and even a bit frightened. You probably have many questions concerning treatment choices and decisions. Most likely, you find yourself constantly thinking, "How am I going to cope with side effects and when will I feel better again," followed often by "What can I do to prevent the cancer from returning."

So, where do you turn for answers, treatment, support and help? If you live in Weber County, you can depend on the Val A. Browning Cancer Treatment Center at Ogden Regional Medical Center. Our knowledgeable and experienced caregivers are here for you, your family and supportive friends - when you need us most.
We offer comprehensive, high-quality cancer treatments, whether you need radiation therapy, surgery and/or chemotherapy. Our well-trained specialists use state-of-the-art digital imaging equipment and advanced technologies to deliver accurate, precise diagnosis and treatments.

At this Ogden hospital, compassionate care for cancer patients goes far beyond clinical diagnosis and treatment. We don't just target the cancer; we are dedicated to caring for the patient as a human being. Through support groups, dedicated time with therapists and pastoral caregivers, and a hug whenever you need one, we do whatever we can to help you medically, emotionally and spiritually.

To further enhance our patient care, Ogden Regional Medical Center partnered with the American Cancer Society to establish the first official Cancer Resource Center in Utah.
