The Unbelievable Noisy Quartet (T.U.N.Q.) was born in summer 2007 from the meeting between Matteo (guitar) and Alessio (bass), with the purpose of creating a different sound and an innovative style, as opposed to the usual cliches of Italy and La Spezias underground music scene (now full).
The core of their own sound is based on pure nu-metal, with other contaminations deriving from different and contrasting music genders (post grunge, alternative, post metal), all mixed up by experimentation.
The first line-up finds its complete order in the same autumn but after the writing of the first songs and the first lives, in March 2008, theres a first break which brings about the leaving of the drummer and the singer who both follow different ways.
Hard times for the fomer duo now, during which they keep on believing in their creed and they find in their friend Gordon a provisional replacement at drums, while Matteo tries a parallel approach at voice, even if with scanty results.
In September 2008, after some months of anonymity, the coming of Francesco (drums) and
Giovanni (voice) gives a new soul to the band.
After two settlement lives they decide to lock themselves in the band room (Matteos cellar) to write new songs.
The new sound is more powerful as the new composings are more complex referring to experimentation and extravagance.
At the same time, between November 2008 an April 2009, they record (always in the cellar) their first self-titled EP TOTALLY AND SELF-FUCKIN PRODUCED, like they love labeling it, which includes the 5 old line-ups songs rearranged with the new style.
In May they restart playing live in a small tour between Liguria and Tuscany to promote the new record.; initially, the line up wasnt very mature and totally conscious about its ability.
Time after time they manage to refine their personal sound and the live performances like those at Livorno Rock Village, Dress:Code in Pisa, Brixton at Alassio (SV) and Checkmate Rock Club in Genova (supporting the Valerian Swing from Reggio Emilia) up till the coming back home at Skaletta in La Spezia.
In 2010, after a short appearance at Exenzia Contest 2.0 in Prato, T.U.N.Q. are writing new songs, waiting to record a new promo with last compositions in order to send it to various labels interested in their proposal.
In the meantime they are beginning a new adventure signing an yearly contract with Sidefill Promotions, the new branch of renowned Extreme Agency.
