About Me:
Aside from the much talked about sneaker line, Chivalrous Culture dropping Fall 2010, Diggy released his first mix-tape, "The First Flight" in December of 2009. Asking for no assistance from any family members, the project was put together and released on his own with his connection of friends made via the internet, as well as those with similar interests and who support him. The first single off the mix-tape is "Point to Prove", where he is expressing his struggle to prove to the world that he is his own person and he does not want to be known as Rev's son and/or Russell's nephew. Most kids growing up in a family of music tend to follow their parents footsteps. Diggy on the other hand is not trying to be known as just "the rapping son of a rap legend", his skills on the microphone are indeed something spectacular and all of his music is written by him.
Receiving rave reviews and acceptance, Diggy took his "Point" a step further and dropped various freestyles, tracks and eventually teamed up with video director Phil The God to create the viral footage of what many are saying "got him his deal"; "Flow Stoopid", a remake track over Nas' "Made You Look", which was co-signed by Nas. With continued hardwork, Daniel Simmons inked a deal to become Atlantic Records' newest recording Artist on Monday, March 22, 2010, a day after his 15th birthday and 11 days after dropping his "Flow Stoopid" track. Chris Lighty of Violator sealed the deal to become Diggy's Manager shorty after.
Releasing a second viral video once again directed by Phil the God, "What They Been Waiting For", once again received an overwhelming amount of support. Within the video, Daniel included the title of his follow up mix-tape, "Airborne", slated for a release Summer 2010..

Record Label:

Major Label
Influences:
Jay-Z Has inspired me big time. Reasonable Doubt is one of my favorite Jay albums of all time. I'm a big fan of Kanye West. He's really innovative in the stuff that he does. Lupe is probably my favorite rapper of all time. He's a person I look to and the reason why I am the way I am, lyrically.
Hometown:
New Jersey
Country:
United States
Interests:
It's as simple as, "do your best and forget the rest." That might sound simple but it's really true. That really means just do your best and forget all the haters or the people that are doubting around you and that's something that I definitely take from him. He just kicks out knowledge constantly but I like that he isn't necessarily all up in what I do, he just tries to stay back and lets me do me and whenever I need advice he's there to lend it to me.
