About Octogenarian Ed's Jazz
I love jazz. As a kid in the Bronx I saw many of the great musicians at the New York Paramount Theater in the 1940's: Glenn Miller, Harry James, Tommy Dorsey, Jimmy Dorsey, Artie Shaw. Frank Sinatra, Dick Haymes and other great vocalists played the Paramount. We saw a movie and musical stage show for 25 cents. Sadly many of our young men and women were fighting World War 2 and were unable to to enjoy the fabulous musical artists. However, many of the biggest musical stars traveled throughout the world entertaining American troops,
