In my view I see darkness closing in, my vision fades as the air becomes so thin. Memories rush in my mind, as if yestreen, too many things at once it seems. Here I lay in my bed of mud, my cold, still body slumbers never to stir. Darkness now surrounds me, but far, far in my sight I can see a faint light. All of a sudden, I hear words in my ears. These words I could not understand, as they were the words of many talking over one another. I sensed the evil in the chatter, and tried my best to make it stop. The more I resisted, the louder it became. I felt as if I were to go insane. I realized that I was only pleasuring the demonic souls around me by covering my ears, or shouting in pain to make them stop. As I glanced back up at the light, I knew that it was where I had to be. So I ran as fast as I could. As I ran, the light never became larger, and the voices never gave way. On my knees, I started to forgive those who have done me wrong in life, for I now know what true pain is. Naming everyone who I could think of forgiving, the voices became few, and the light became larger. I remembered when my friend Julia crushed my finger with a door. My finger never healed right, and I was left with a pain in till the day I died. In life, I told her that I could never forgive her for that. I remember how she laughed at me, thinking it was nothing serious. Even Julia, I forgave. I found myself speaking... shouting out loud to forgive these people. When I could think of nothing more to say, the voices stopped. A warm feeling now came over me.
Life was only the first chapter in my existence. This light however must hold the rest of my story.
In this darkness, I say my final words to the world. Now, I walk into the light.
