Hi, the name is Capital Ode (pronounced Kap-Tal Oh-Dee) and I'm your local superhero/rapper. I was born in Toronto,
Canada to a Jamaican mother and Guyanese father who both listened to a lot of music. I originally intended to be
an r&b singer but that baby voice never recovered from those puberty days :( I moved with my mother to Fort Lauderdale,
Florida where my first raps were conceived as a chubby, awkward and nervouse kid in a middle school lunch room.
This is also around the time I was bitten by a radioactive turtle and my super powers were born. Before long, my mother,
brother and I moved to Madison, Alabama where I built my first studio and recorded my first songs under a heavy influence of
my favorite Queens Bridge MC's, Nas and Mobb Deep. The next stop on my awkward years world tour was Orange, NJ where I
developed my stage presence and confidence by performing in my first live shows and an off-broadway play. After a year,
I ended up in Canarsie, Brooklyn, New York, where I use my super powers to protect the weak and help old ladies cross
the street. I also manage to make a lot of music in my spare time. A teaser tape, comprised of leftover songs and
previews was released in 2010, called The LeftOvers. My first official mixtape will be released in 2012.
