About this user

We are Oaxaca Streetchildren Grassroots, a growing program that currently serves more than 600 of Oaxaca's poorest children. Our sole purpose is to empower the children we serve through education. By giving children the support they need to attend and succeed in school, we give them a chance for a bright future that would be otherwise unattainable.
At our center we provide nutritious meals, medical care, and all the support necessary to prepare participating children as they enter public school. Since the inception of our program in 1996 we have had extraordinary success assisting children until they graduate from high school and in some cases university, giving them the means to support themselves and their families as well as participate fully in Mexican society. A number of professions are represented by those who have completed our program including nursing, medicine, teaching and engineering.
