My old horse did this, it turned out his saddle was pinching him. Check your tack and her teeth, its sounds like your mare`s problem is linked to pain. My advice is not to ride her until you et her checked out.

I`d like to see you get on a 18hh + clydesdale and jump it! Believe me, it take immendos skill to do it. I struggle with my 17h horse, so this is just amazing! Nobody`s perfect, so shut your gob.
