ABOUT ME:

Being part of Umbrella's Security department is a good job, but I'm always out to make just a little bit more money. So when they sent out a memo stating that they needed someone to be the face of their Youtube account, I jumped on the wagon. Sure the pay isn't quite what I had in mind, but hey, it's better than my last job at the sewage plant.

~Note to YouTubers~

It would appear that Capcom has decided to completely kill off the Umbrella Corporation from the world of Resident Evil. Since the events of RE4, the company started to fade out of the storyline. It was a little foggy as to whether or not it was still alive in one form or another, but then came the events of RE5. Which seemed to outright bury it or rather trade it for another company. I don't know if Umbrella will resurface in future RE games, but as it stands now, the company is dead and therefore can't output videos from its non-existent employees. You see, RE's story is suppose to take place in the same time and place as ours (more or less). Meaning, if it's 2009 here, it's also 2009 in RE's universe. Seems strange to *progress* the story of my character at the Umbrella workplace if the company he works for has been completely dismantled.

I've thought about referring to my character's world as an "alternative reality" where Umbrella was still thriving after the events of Raccoon City. But that got too confusing. Different realities communicating and somehow co-mingling via internet, not to mention the outright denial of certain events in the source material.....it just got too confusing. I was hoping Umbrella would stay in the continuing story of Resident Evil so I could continue making videos and thus refine the character I played into something better. Oh well. Thanks for the support and remember, have your Hunters spayed or neutered.
