OK, this video has some serious sync/editing issues that I could not fix because my HD PVR and webcam went out of sync on both the video and audio 3 times each for some reason, it was hard enough to make it as good as it is. Anyways, this song surprisingly didn't take me that long at all to FC. About a total of 2-3 hours, including practice, over the span of 3 days. This was kind of an aside from This is Exile, which I will tell you more about in a second. I wasn't even able to FC the tom fill until I saw the FBFC on the ERG channel and decided I should learn it, and realized exactly what I was doing wrong with the red hits. This was also my first time FC'ing to the tom fill, so it was nice to get this so quickly. Even though this song has been done a couple times now, I still love it, and is one of my favourite drum charts now that I can do the tom fill.
Now for the stuff at the end of the video:
-I did in fact FC The Camera Eye roll twice in a row (not counting the obvious restart where I was typing in my stream after I FC'd it the first time), this was done on stream, in front of many people that can verify it happened in succession. I will not go for this FC until I do TiE though.
-1st Visions Pro Drum FC. Not much else to say about that.
-What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse Pro Drums -1 note. All the sections say 100%, but I missed in Verse 2 I think it is, the RRRRYYYYRRRR roll, which made this a reverse choke. This was after about 10 minutes of playing the song too, so I guess I should go for this too now.
-Heavy Weather Verse 1 FC, first proof of an FC of it that I know of at least.
I have in fact been trying to FC TiE for a small amount of time each day, but I find it impossible to "grind" because the intro is just heartbreaking. I have FC'd to the second blasts about 6 times, and FC'd past them three times. One time I missed the RRRRYYYYRRRRBBBB, one time I missed the BB unison, and the furthest I've gotten with an FC, was the polyrhythm, which in my opinion I consider a choke, because it is past all the hard parts. WWW.KINDBEATSDRUMS.COM "The Bleed Chronicles: Playing Meshuggah With One Foot" is a series that I am setting up as a challenge to myself. A youtube user jokingly suggested that I play the opening drum part to "Bleed" by Meshuggah using only one foot. Well, I've decided to say "eff it" and have some fun. My goal is to try and get as close to the tempo of Tomas Haake's original drum part as possible using only single pedal. Follow me on my journey!
NOTE: I am well aware that this is probably an impossible task, but I've decided to take it on anyway because it can only help me grow as both a musician and a drummer. ALWAYS challenge yourself!
Part 1 simply explains my goal, demonstrates the bass drum pattern I will be playing, and what I am currently up to after working with it for about one week.
