About this user
Believe it or not jazz musicians used to play "Pop" music all the time. In fact, ironically enough, many of the old popular tunes they played in the 30's, 40's, and 50's have become known today as jazz standards in the jazz community. Unfortunately, many modern day jazz musicians never attempt to play popular music and to adapt it into the jazz genre. NuTrad (a blend of the New and Traditional) seeks to break down walls between popular music and jazz, and to show the world that there are only two types of music--good and bad.
