The Novalis Ubuntu Institute

The Novalis Ubuntu Institute of Holistic Education is a community-based, non-profit organization founded in Durban 25 years ago to make a creative contribution to the educational, social and cultural challenges of our times. We are committed to individual and social transformation and bringing the universal spiritual values embraced in the African philosophy of Ubuntu into community life through holistic training programs that benefit disadvantaged groups and communities in South Africa and the same time promote sustainability, social justice, creativity and peace. The Institute also serves as a Community Resource Center, providing classes, events and other educational resources to the larger community of Cape Town.
