Patricia Petibon nous fait voyager de l'Espagne (Granados, De Falla) au Brésil (Villa-Lobos), en s'entourant de musiciens de flamenco afin de pimenter ses interprétations de chansons traditionnelles (zarzuelas, mélodies afro-brésiliennes). Autre touche de modernité : l'enregistrement en première mondiale de « Melodias de la Melancolia », un cycle de mélodies composées sur des poèmes espagnols par le Français Nicolas Bacri et dédiées à Patricia. La voix de Patricia Petibon se fait chaude et sensuelle sur ces mélodies envoûtantes. A propos de Rosso, son précédent opus, Le Times avait écrit : « Sa voix est absolument extraordinaire... Unique for her dramatic flair, expert musicality, and interpretive powers, soprano Patricia Petibon indulges in her love of Luso-Iberian music. From zarzuela to art song, folk song, the Aria Cantilena of Brazil's Villa-Lobos, and the traditional Afro-Brazilian Ogundé uareré, Patricia Petibon also samples the new. She includes the world-premiere recording of Nicolas Bacri's song cycle, which was dedicated to her. The Times wrote about her previous album Rosso: "Her voice is absolutely extraordinary... After this disc, I am her devoted slave".

Entendre Philippe en live est toujours merveilleux - ce n'était pas mon premier concert, ni mon dernier assurément =)
Mais là j'étais tellement proche de lui ( 10 mètres!!!!!) que c'était tout bonnement divin ! En plus rencontrer Jana et Maria en vrai m'a fait tellement plaisir ! C'était génial !
C'est vrai que la vidéo de Jana permet au "groupe Jaroussky" de Youtube de commencer à connaître ses membres, quelque uns du moins (on ne voit même pas Jana !).
As-tu acheté le nouveau CD de Philippe ? Je te le conseille vivement si ce n'est pas le cas ! Il sera en dédicace à Paris le 13 novembre ! J'ai hâte de le revoir ( depuis la rentrée je le vois tous les mois ! Ce sont mes moments de bonheur !)
