About Me:

"Nobody respects a country with a poor army, but everybody respects a country with a good army. I raise my toast to the Finnish Army"
Josef Stalin, April 6th, 1948

"For the first time something like a European awakening passed through this continent. In the north, Finland is fighting, a true nation of heroes, for in her wide spaces she relies on her own strength, her bravery and tenacity."
- Adolf Hitler
Berlin, October 3, 1941

"After 16 weeks of bloody battle, with no rest by day or night, our Army still stands unconquered before an enemy which, despite terrible losses, has grown in number."
- Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim, Commander-in-Chief of Finland's Defence Forces, Marshal of Finland

"O Lord, deliver us from the terrible army of the Finnish Hakkapelites"
A prayer in Roman Catholic churches in Germany during the Thirty Years' War

Heinrich Himmler said
"Where a Finnish SS-man stood, enemy was always defeated "
Felix Steiner, commander of Panzer Division Wiking
"My Führer, where Finns stand, there stand our best soldiers"

"I prefer my Finn boys any day before those fancy German parade soldiers"
King of Sweden Gustav ll Adolf

General Carl Gustaf Armfeldt thoughts about his Finnish and Swedish Karoliner Soldiers after battle of Storkyro (Isokyrö) 1714
"They showed incredible bravery, and loyalty unto death, and on their knees and with streaming eyes asked God for help."

Speech held on September 4, 1994 the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the signing of the armistice, ending the Finnish-Soviet hostilities,
Prime Minister of Finland Esko Aho declared:

"I do not see a defeat in the summer's battles, but the victory of a small nation over a major power, whose forces were stopped far short of the objectives of the Soviet leadership. Finland was not beaten militarily...
Finland preserved her autonomy and her democratic social system ...
Finland ... won the peace."

"Finns! Brothers! Your deeds are great, and the gratitude we and all others bestow upon you is equally great. -To express this requires all the skill of a great speaker. But I'm a Soldier. - A Soldier! What a proud title! This title I have, from you - for you - and with you! Receive then the earnest thoughts of a moved heart, and you Swedish Troops, who are present at this honourable and sorrowful event; be living witnesses to the Swedish Motherland's sincere gratitude. - Swedes! Be proud to have seen these Finnish Survivors! Remember them! Honour them! See their weary bodies, their pale faces, they carry the hardships of the past years! And you Finns! When you return to your homelands, deliver the message of gratitude of the Swedish Folk to your Nation! Know this, you may return with torn clothes, amputated or bullet-pierced limbs, but also the visible beauty of the Soul of a Warrior."

Small part of General Carl von Döbeln's Speech To The Swedish and Finnish troops in 1809

"All others were talking about freedom but Finns died for it" New York Times

"Only Finland - super´b, nay sublime, in the jaws of peril - Finland shows what free men can do."
Winston Churchill

"Non sibi sed patriae"

"If your not Patriotic, You're Nothing !" - Matt Moran.

About Poland & Molotov Ribbentrop Pact wanna add that Poland before WWII occupied Latvia & parts of Belorussia, Ukraine. The official borders of Poland were specified in the Treaty of Versailles and were limited by Curzon Line, but Polish leaders violated these agreement. From my point of view only Baltic states and Finland can be considered as 100% victims, other countries were far from to be "angels".

I also think that main purpose to sign the Molotov Ribbentrop Pact for USSR was to direct Third Rech agression against the West, the occupation of Finland or Baltic states had secondary importance.
BandOfBrothers25 (2 weeks ago)
Of course they had their own and I am aware about the voluntarily SS units that were Finnish but the Finnish were not "axis" they were more neutral.

You just don't get it do you? What did Hitler hate? Communism, what did he love? Europe. He made a pact to avoid a two front war. Even if Hitler shunned Finland, it would not matter because Finland was not willing to supply Germany with Finnish troops to fight against the Reds. That is a back stab to Europe and if Hitler made the pact, I am glad he did. Nobody did enough to defend Europe form Communism and Finland was expected to be Germany's #1 supporter and it acted as if it were a Communist place itself.
BandOfBrothers25 (2 weeks ago)
HAHAHA sold? Finland had already been defeated and already gave in to the Reds. It does not make sense they "sold Finland." Since when did Germany control Finland?
BandOfBrothers25 (2 weeks ago)
You have witnessed pictures of Hitlers foreign minister meet with Molotov to avoid a two front war, do not get things confused.

Sup soumi? Its spelled soumi right?
BandOfBrothers25 (3 weeks ago)
I can assure you that is a media lie just like the Zimmerman note. Hitler would never sell a European country to a communist. It was probably used to stir up emotions.
BandOfBrothers25 (3 weeks ago)
Hitler was not the reason the war started, and if he were, it would be due to the fact that he cared too much for his people. And no, Hitler did not sell Finland out. Why would Hitler sell out a European country to central Asia?
