Playing a Beatles song in 'tribute' to a former Monkee? Replace that one with Peter's unreleased song 'Come On In' from the Music Box collection, it would go perfectly with the beautiful montage you've assembled!

There's so much awesomeness surrounding this commercial that it can't be covered in one response. The quality of film source is superb; it's well-written; I want those records SO bad; & considering that Micky, fresh out of the Monkees (& a steady job) but only now realizing how screwed he is, has...

This is the most thoughtful, enjoyable and perfect video tribute to The Monkees I've ever seen. This excellent compilation is an example of why the tv series averaged upwards of ten million viewers a week in 1966-67. Great job, MarmadasBaggins, gotta watch part #2!
@TheMrmoonlight Good point! It was also at that time that he stopped singing in the same way he did like with 'Twist and Shout' or 'Help!' I'm more likely to buy the theory from WillShakespeare2007 - John became a DNA part of Yoko and the extra body had to be disposed of, case closed.
