IMHO Scientology is not quite a religion, although I freely admit that people are free to believe whatever they wish. I have no problems at all with The Freezone, as long as the laws of the land are being abided by and folks aren't being hurt or deceived, families not being torn apart.

However, in my mind Scientology will always remain a financial scheme involving high pressure sales, well known methods of mind control and vicious attacks on anyone who disagrees with Cof$, including former staff.

The founder of the "Church", L.Ron Hubbard famously wrote, "It (Scientology) is not a psycho-therapy nor a religion. It is a body of knowledge which, when properly used, gives freedom and truth to the individual."

Furthermore, I believe that "The Church of Scientology" CANNOT be reformed.

Cof$ Members are indeed brainwashed. When "clearing the world" takes precedence over your children, you've lost your membership to the human race.

Former Scientologists have ONE agenda - Prevent others from suffering through what they suffered through - I am an ally in this endeavor.

FACT: L. Ron Hubbard was a compulsive liar.
FACT: L. Ron Hubbard lied about almost every aspect of his military career. Even the so called Church has different accounts of it.
FACT: L. Ron Hubbard infamously stated that if one wishes to _really_ get rich, one should start a religion.
FACT: L. Ron Hubbard believed and thus Scientology is riddled with the "Ubermenschen" philosophy- ie- Scientologists are smarter, more able, more "ethical" (or ruthless in their vernacular) at applying Scientology to those who they meet, whether wanted or not. (Refer to Tom Cruise' rants.)
FACT: Scientology only took on the trappings of a religion, replete with "Sunday worship service" and white collars akin to Roman Catholic Priests. Google "religious cloaking" for much more info.
FACT: Scientology relies on slave labor. The next time you admire their embossed furniture or their building's trim, realize that it was probably made by slave labor or people earning 50 cents an hour, sleeping with a dozen others in a bunk and eating gruel.
FACT: Hubbard's own son says, "My father was driven by greed and megalomania.99% of what he told others about himself were lies. "
FACT: "(Hubbard was) a crazed misogynist who insisted women were inferior intellectually later in life his venereal disease (caught from a whore while on leave from the Navy) instilled within him a fear and dread of womankind that expressed itself in paranoia, insanity and impotency.
FACT: Lafayette Ron Hubbard hypnotized himself and others on numerous occasions, often for sadistic reasons.
FACT: Again, his own son describes his father as, "Hubbard was a petty thief; a wife beater, a sociopath; a drug-addicted, rum besotted schizophrenic who once begged the United States government for psychiatric help but was ignored, to the detriment of his many victims."

Scientologists lie. Constantly, as a matter of fact and routine. I know of no other "religion" where every word coming out of their adept's mouths are blatant verifiable untruths.

Scientology is bad for children. It treats children as objects to be stowed away while their parents "progress on the bridge". Refer to many instances of alleged and proven abuse of minors

Scientology is one giant slave labor camp, with degrees of loss of freedoms. One of the matters I cannot reconcile is the aspect of a slave labor camp IN 21st century America. These people should be immediately set free from their RPF existence.

An RPF for CHILDREN exists. How depraved is that? Instead of helping them learn mathematics, put them to build furniture and haul rocks for David Miscavige.

Scientology employs "vulture ministers", people who mobilize at the latest disaster not out of the goodness of their hearts, but to provide a "small assist and get people into "Scientology orgs" (those litttle nonchalant shops where you get a stress test and your first dose of programming... as Hubbard infamously wrote)

Scientology kills: Epilepsy cannot be cured with a sauna. Grand Mal Seizures cannot be cured with nicotinic acid. Shitzophrenia isn't an imagined problem that can be "handled with auditing". Homosexuality is not an illness to begin with. Psychiatry of 1930's and 40's and Psychiatry of 2010 are not quite the same beast. It's about time Hubbard's rubbish be thrown away with the rest of history's junk "science".
