Liberal Democrat who proudly voted for Obama, and is very disappointed in the Democrats in the Senate. Christian, meaning that I believe in the teachings of Christ, nothing more, nothing less. It doesn't mean I oppose gay marriage (I don't) or that I would vote to outlaw abortion (I wouldn't, though personally I am against it, it just isn't my place to tell a random woman what to do). I believe in Capitalism, but only to a point. There are some things that shouldn't be for profit, among them health care (both insurance, and actual care). I believe that Marijuana should be legalized, at least for medicinal use, and even for recreational as it is no less healthy than cigarettes and alcohol. I believe the failed war on drugs should end, and we should treat addiction as a medical, not criminal issue. I believe in Teddy Roosevelts foreign policy of "Speak softly, but carry a big stick" which some people use as a line to blast Obama for "being soft" when he follows the first part of the statement by talking to our adversaries. I know global warming is real, which doesnt mean that it gets hotter and hotter, the scientists screwed the pooch when they named it that. They should have called it WEATHER CALAMITIES.
