The Ten Doctors PART 3 - By Babelcolour
PART THREE:
Overpowered by a Sontaran attack force, nine incarnations of the Doctor lie unconscious in the ruins of a medieval castle. Their only ...
@Raefgotti I agree, but I fear that if Babelcolour started to raise money even just to support this hobby, it could be seen as profiteering and thus illegal copyright violation. The BBC might take a dim view. Otherwise, I'd say I'm in for 10 too.

Wow, that was just wonderful. You're an amazing vid maker. The amount of creativity and care you put into this really shows. BTW, as a devoted Ninth Doctor fan, I greatly appreciate how you manage to find little clips of him that will fit, even though there's less footage of him available than of...

"The Real Amy" - Amy Walker
http://www.AmyWalkerOnline.com The intro -about the "Real" me- from my solo show in January, 2010. Enjoy! BE Connected: http://www.ConnectedFilm...
@gigirox18 I think you missed the point. When she switches accents, she doesn't stop being the "real Amy," any more than we stop being the "real us" when we change clothes or hairstyles. To put it another way, they're all expressions of the "real Amy." That was the point.

21 Acentos
Carlos tries out his own version of 21 Accents in Spanish. http://www.CarlosSantosCome...
@HippyHappy70 Notice I said "parodying" -- I could hear that he wasn't doing an awesome job of doing the accents the way they really arespoken, but doing over-the-top versions of them (probably that's why I could hear the differences between them). I think he did a great job of being funny as heck.

NoisyDemocrat commented 7 months ago
That was hysterically funny. I speak Spanish as a second language, but even I could recognize a lot of the accents you were imitating/parodying. It was great!

ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH
Scenery around the Colorado Rocky Mountain Region
This is the original hit version from the album Rocky Mountain High (believe it or not, a song this slow and beautiful could be a massive hit back in the 1970s). The one megalodon406 has is a live recording, which is more "punched up" compared to the original hit version. I *think* it may be the ...

american accents
these are our shot at doing an american accent, comment and tell us what you think.
@Nick22pr I teach the generic American accent professionally, and I can tell you that doing as well as these two girls are is really difficult. Some people even think Southern accents are easier for British speakers, because there are usually fewer r's to deal with.

american accents
these are our shot at doing an american accent, comment and tell us what you think.
p.s. it was specifically in the line "it wasn't really easy." The other time, the word "easy" was perfect. Oh, and your vowels had the same small error on the word "TV." But if someone weren't already listening for a British accent, they wouldn't notice those little flaws -- anyone who didn't kno...

american accents
these are our shot at doing an american accent, comment and tell us what you think.
Your accents are very, very good -- if this is typical, you could be accepted as Americans here with no question. Girl on the left, you slipped up a tiny bit on the word "easy" when you said the exams weren't easy -- the two vowels in "easy" sounded like they were cut short a little and your tong...

I'm a native of California, and I had no idea what a "Cally" accent was until I read the comments translating this as "California." Where are you from that actually uses that term?

John Bramwell (I Am Kloot) gets a very unusual request
Be careful what you ask for! Recorded in Cambridge at The Junction J2, 12 May 2009
@thelinklater
I'm American, not British, but I'm pretty sure I got it -- it was funny in American too. :) When the guy asked "Can you pull off 'Over my shoulder'?" he meant "Can you manage to play 'Over my shoulder'?" But 'pull off' also sounds close to a slang phrase that means 'masturbate to o...

Interesting! (As all your vids are.) Where is the clip of the Ninth Doctor at 1:13 from? Is it actually the Ninth Doctor? The face looks a bit more like Eccleston from a backstage clip of some sort, except that I can't imagine he'd move like that in anything from backstage, so I'm very curious. ...

@358cjh She pronounced 'thought' the same way I would (I'm from California but with strong Midwestern influences). It's true some speakers would pronounce 'thought' to rhyme with 'lot', but that isn't standard across the whole US. Do you make a distinction between the pronunciation of 'cot' and '...

One more comment -- if you're trying to sound American, don't forget our lovely word "gotten." I'm pretty sure you said "I actually think I've got worse." American would be "I've gotten." We'd most likely pronounce it with a glottal stop, i.e. like "go'en." But you're doing great. I'm working on ...

One other detail: Notice that in the American accent, one syllable gets the main stress but other, alternating syllables will still get *some* stress. An American will say "video" as VID-ee-OH, with more stress on VID but a little stress on OH, whereas you're only stressing VID and then hurrying ...
