New York based Walking Shapes was formed by way of mountains and through the tides of the city. Their musical histories extend somewhere between the secret valleys of the Balkan Mountains, the theatre stages on Broadway, and sound chambers in the depths of SoHo. Exuding a fresh meld of songwriting, this group mixes driving guitars with intricate string arrangements and stand out vocals.
Following the recent release of the band's debut single "Pusher," This is Fake DIY likened the group to recent Mercury Prize winners Alt-J, describing the single as "slick, well-produced pop loaded with intelligent lines, unconventional structures, and big, bold melancholic lyrics." Blah Blah Blah Science, on the other hand, draws parallels to Radiohead, "if instead of being 'really into' Flying Lotus and bowler hats, Thom Yorke hung out more at the beach."
Nathaniel Hoho -- vocals, guitar
Jesse Kotansky -- guitar, violin, vocals
Jake Generalli -- keys, vocals
Dan Krysa -- bass, vocals
Christopher Heinz -- drums

BLACK TAXI is one of NYC's most prominent live acts, matching an anything-goes punk ethos with pop sensibilities, unparalleled energy, and brilliant songwriting, which results in a raucous stage show heavy with harmonies, spitfire guitar licks, body paint, and all manner of instrumentation. While their "grit-pop" or "dance punk" sound hints at the Talking Heads, Cake, and Daft Punk, their songs are unique and infectious. In May, 2013 BLACK TAXI's "House on Fire" premiered on MTV's Buzzworthy and marked their first single on Brooklyn label No Shame.
BLACK TAXI songs play on radio stations from Maine to California, accompany hit TV shows, and provide the soundtrack for film. 2012 full-length "We Don't Know Any Better" debuted on the CMJ Radio 200 at #180 and quickly rose to #80, the #2 spot for self-released albums.
Black Taxi is: Ezra (Keys, Aux, Vocals) // Bill (Guitar/Vocals) // Krisana (Bass) // Jason (Drums)
In the state of multiplicity, we will find Loveskills . This one-man industry of music, Richard Spitzer, discovers himself through the craft of songwriting - producing textures of therapeutic synth, low frequency bass, and a balance of melodic heart speak. While new love kills the desire to surrender, ambitious heartbreak sets the stage. Loveskills comes in waves, different perspectives from the same vantage point in the heart of the city.
The Universe has called on its disciple. A catalyst born from the rare, free man of the Earth to rejoin humanity with its quest for an equanimous future, where power and greed are traits of bygone generations.
The movement has already begun. Its essence is derived in the people's purest creations.
CAYCE is the disciple
CAYCE is a secret society
CAYCE is music.
