I agree with you that regardless of your personal political persuasion, you should vote your conscience and not just "the lesser of two evils."

I voted for Bob Barr (Libertarian Party) back in 2008 because he was more anti-war and pro-civil liberties than Obama. I'd consider myself more of a leftist nowadays (a blend of Libertarian Socialist, Democratic Socialist, and Troskyist ideas) so I'll probably vote for the Socialist Party USA ticket, or the next best ticket that can get ballot access in Kansas.

Thanks for the reply to my comment on the video "New York Janitors Join Occupy Wall Street".

Since the unions first entered the fray of the Occupy movement I have seen articles, analysis, and perspectives on alternative news outlets that the union bosses were going to try to transform the movement into a re-election campaign for Obama and the Democrats. The funny thing is, Obama's refusal to condemn the arrests and police brutality against peaceful protesters while telling us "not to demonize Wall Street" may be what foils that plot.
