Matthew: It's kinda hard to explain how we record our videos, but I'll give it a go...

We use a DVD recorder called Dazzle. I think it costs $40-60/£30-45 and you can probably find one from most electronic/computer stores. This hooks into the back of our computers via the USB on the dazzle. If you wanted to, you could plug the console straight into the AV jacks that the dazzle has, and you'd be recording that way.
However, we also use the TV to play as the screen is bigger (and the dazzle lags about 1/2 second). Instead, we have an AV lead coming out of the TV to the dazzle AV jacks. The console is plugged into the TV like normal. So you should have 1 AV lead coming IN to your TV (console) and one AV coming OUT of your TV (goes into the dazzle recorder).

I can't really explain it any better than that. It does cost a bit of money (especially if you don't have the right leads)! I hope that helps anyways
