Battalion commanders were lieutenant colonels, yet this man said his battalion commander had just graduated from West Point. New West Point graduates are second lieutenants, not lieutenant colonels. Second lieutenants command platoons, not battalions.

I'm not a huge Winwood fan, but this song made such a strong impression on me in 1980. Even today it still evokes strong feelings of nostalgia.

@DwnAszPunk You need to learn your WWII history. Rommel was not in North Africa in June, 1944. He and his Afrika Corps were defeated in 1943. The book on which this movie was based was very well documented and the movie reflected the accuracy of the book.
