Though I am primarily a musician, my experience with film and video started with making super 8 movies as a teen in the Midwest and Southwest US to living and working in Hollywood. I worked on "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles,""Happy Together," "They Live," "Sunset," "Beauty and the Beast" (TV show), etc. as well as a Hollywood video company infomercial and even had a part in an award winning independent film called "Saving Star Wars" which was produced in the Midwest. I co-produced a promotional film called "Chameleon" in 2003 and it just made sense to finally start calling myself a director, too. From 2004-2007, I was published internationally and locally writing on subjects of charity, entertainment and social networking, finished a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration- Marketing and produced numerous video productions including an online show called "Niswander's Fun To the Nth Degree." The article "Rock and Roll and Night of 1,000 Dinners" was published in the Fall 2004 newsletter The Deminer by the United Nations Association of the USA's Adopt-A-Minefield program (landmines.org)
and the article "You Tube: Art of Social Networking" was published by Indianapolis' Nuvo Newsweekly in September 2007:

NOW back in Southern California and so far since 2010, Niswander Rock Theater characters from the album "Adventures In Wanderland" such as NOWMAN and Dan Westwood appeared in webisodes of "Adventures of NOWMAN" and other video shorts, and made live appearances at places such as the Grilled Cheese Invitational in L.A., the improv show "Dungeon Master" in Hollywood, an art gallery opening in Los Feliz, and the Doo Dah Parade in Pasadena.
He was picked by Joey Fingers of Indianapolis' Metromix as a Hoosier act (besides John Mellencamp!) that should perform at a Super Bowl halftime show.
Rock Theater NOWMAN was featured on KABC-TV Los Angeles as part of their 2010 Doo Dah Parade coverage and also in the winner's circle at Hollywood Park race track prior to a DEVO concert. In 2011, more NOWMAN webisodes, music videos, and more were produced, and I made some live music appearances at the House of Blues in West Hollywood and the Village in Hollywood.
