@whiteflamemusic Shoobee is right! Army infantry is OSUT (One Station Unit Training)which is a total of 14-15 weeks depending if you're MOS 11B/11C (Light infantry/Motars). The Ssgt. you talk to was probably a POG (Personel Other then Grunt) and has no idea what infantry school is like.

I graduated from Echo 2-58 "House of Pain" in 2008. I have now have 1 deployment to the Afghan under my belt.

That wasn't how reception was when I went to BCT @ Fort Benning. Infantry baby.
