The Color Purple does not represent all Black men in the eyes of Black women (feminist or not), it only seems to bother men who are insecure about their own manhood, or are guilty of the brutal behavior of the lead male CHARACTER. Believe it or not, most women are able to view it as a form of entertainment and not as a guide on the mindset of the Black man.
