Nicholas Pasquale Ippoliti was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of Ralph and Mary Ippoliti in 1968. After receiving his Associate of Arts in Music at Bucks County College in 1994, he entered Mansfield University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy in 1997 and a Master of Science in Education in 2001. Upon completing his degree program in Education, Ippoliti received recognition for his community-outreach program designed to utilize the art of songwriting as a means for troubled youth to express themselves in a constructive way.

In 2003, he entered the Graduate School of Arts and Humanities at the University of Texas at Dallas to further his studies of the dynamic power of songwriting, where he received his Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Humanities in 2009. Ippoliti's concentration while at UTD was American Lyricism: the United Stated Protest Narrative. His dissertation titled "Echo of McCallum" was an interactive, creative and historical production -- a first for UTD. The project includes 13 songs written in the tradition of U.S. protest songs of the 20th century dating back to before World War I through the Vietnam War era. This innovative project is accompanied by scholarly essays and web-based material.

Since 2005, Ippoliti has taught English Composition, Rhetoric, and American Literature for Richland College located in Dallas, Texas. In August 2010, Ippoliti was hired as a Visiting Lecturer in English and American Literature for Corning Community College located in Corning, New York.
