A vocalist/lyricist/musician and producer, Niav is known for her creative production techniques,evocative lyrics and unique vocal style . An Irish born singer/songwriter ,she currently lives on the south coast of nsw in Australia . Portraying raw human emotion , lyrically and vocally , Niav's musical arrangements can be as simple as an acoustic guitar and vocal piece or large productions of many layers and effects . Her singing has been described variously as haunting , emotional ,etheral , and unique ....the combination of opera training and growing up in Ireland's celtic musical atmosphere producing an unusual vocal flavour. Also a published poet and electronics engineer , Niav is currently working on her debut album due for release in late 2006.
