About this user

I'm a musician. I've been playing piano for about 8 years, taking organ lessons for 2 years, taught myself the basics of how to play cello and electric guitar, and somehow I'm halfway through some music degree in Cork...

I've been playing my local church organ for about 5 years and, now that I'm learning about conducting, have been asked if I'll take over the choir when I'm done with college, so please send me videos that might give me ideas...

I did my first piano recital at 17, which wasn't as great as my neighbours might make it out to be, got a disctinction in my Grade 5 (woohoo!) and after all that I'm still no better at sight-reading than my Dad's dog is at sitting still for a camera shot. As for organ, what I do mostly for the church choir is harmonize the songs because of my woeful sight-reading, and sometimes get to play at weddings which were almost my only source of income in my first college year.

I think what I want after my degree is to conduct my own choir, whether it's a church choir or not, do concerts that involve a piano and the playing thereof, teach piano, and maybe continue to be some church organist somewhere... Or if that doesn't work out i'll just be a waitress who knows a few cool choons on a piano.
