If there were a tsunami warning for the US economy, it would be blaring at an ear-splitting 120 decibels right now!
Any rational person can see that the US economy is on the verge of collapse. We have record budget deficits, unfettered globalization producing record trade deficits, a plummeting dollar, massive unemployment, out-of-control illegal immigration, a declining housing market, a record number of anti-competitive mergers which destroy jobs, and corporate-controlled healthcare which is bankrupting millions of Americans.
The destruction of America's middle class is happening at so many different levels, in so many different ways, that the task of even summarizing our situation is mammoth.
These issues also affect workers throughout the European Union and in other industrialized nations.
