Began studying drums at age 8 (Vic Guidone & Daryl Robinson), taught drum lessons from age 15, had the honor of going to college in Canada (drums w/Vince Ricci, Pat Stewart & others) at Malaspina in Nanaimo, BC & USA (drums/percussion w/ Dr. Robert Schietroma, Ron Fink, Randy Drake, Ed Soph, Henry Okstel & many others) at Univ of North Texas for Diploma & Bachelor degrees in music. Went on the road with a jazz trio, settled in New Orleans, started/organized my own bands of diverse styles & a music booking agency for my own & many New Orleans bands, perform drum set & hand percussion (from all over the world) in many diverse bands. Perform New Orleans Jazz, Classic Jazz Standards, Latin & Rock ... wide range of styles. All hand percussion, drums & equipment plus everything else was lost to Hurricane Katrina. Family, vehicles, cymbals & one drum set were ok - everything else - toast.
Have multiple bands working steady performances in New Orleans. Travel & perform worldwide with the Original Dixieland Jazz Band, Garden District Band, New Orleans Spice jazz Band & other groups.
I have a great family, very busy schedule filled with family, community events, music & fun.
