Nesby Phips is an Emcee/Producer from New Orleans. He's the owner & operator of Bakadahouse Music, his production company which started in 2003. "Thats where I did my music, in the Back-of-the-house. It was a no brainer." In his 11yr strech as a musical hybrid he's worked with artists from Tabi Bonney, Wiz Khalifa, Chip the Ripper, Stalley, Ski Beatz, Re, B.J. the Chicago Kidd, Haziq Ali, Fiend, Lil Wayne, Mack Maine, Calicoe the Champ, Brasco, Al Fatz and childhood friend Curren$y

Last year Phips released the 1st edition of the Phips Files titled "The Phipstape", which is a collection of songs he's featured in or has produced. His most recent mixtape entitled "B- Side" released on July 22, 2010, consisted of 11 tracks with production from, Sara, DJ Maxmillion, Eddie Bo, Lazy Mane, Pete Rock, Ski Beatz, and Roommate John Mercure. The mixtape consisted of 10 Solid Tracks and really showed that the artist was much more than just a great producer but an excellent lyricist also. Its available on countless websites including his own nesbyphips.com and as of October 1, 2010 it had received about 20,000 downloads worldwide.
but he's most recently been recognized for the work he's put in with underground phenom/childhood friend , Curren$y & their Jets movement. The two have connected to make underground hits such as "Top of the Money", "The Seventies", "Lost in Transit", "Mazaltov" & "Wave Race" to name a few. They have recently connected on a joint titled "Beeper Bill (Prioritze)" which was released by way of a video shot by CreativeControl.tv videographer Jonah Schwartz. Look for this song to appear on Curren$y's next project "Pilot Talk", which is schedueled to drop July 13 on Rocafella/ Def Jam.
