Cause I wanted to use lots of clips that I haven't used before.
Be prepared, this is another one that I love so much that I don't care if you do or not XD It started off as just romantic relationships but turned into romantic, platonic and familial relationships as well, and I think I like it better that way :) My Doctor/Rose shipper was kept kinda quiet until the very end when it just kinda busted out in full force. Sorry. Actually, no I'm not sorry. If you're not a Doctor/Rose shipper, I don't know why you're still watching my videos anyway.
Sorry about the coloring being awkward in some places. Coloring is the bane of my existence. It's like how I love to write but I can't spell anything: I love to vid but I am terrible at trying to come up with good colorings -.-
On another note: I am almost at 5000 subscribers ::dies:: What should I do for a celebratory vid?

There's no real defined plot for this one. Mostly I just wanted to make it kinda like a regular Doctor Who trailer and just make Sherlock look like one of his next companions. But of course since they're both so smart, it's not all fun and games and they clash once in a while :p (also, Sherlock flirts with Amy, which is random, but most everything in this vid is random). I had a lot of manip ideas I wanted to try out, not all of them work, but it was a nice thought, lol XD
Again, the audio is terrible. My Sony Vegas has a real hard time with audio and I don't have the patience to try and edit it in another program. Originally there was no vo'ers in the second half of the vid but looking back I thought it at least needed *something*. I hope it doesn't distract too much. Or maybe it just kills the vid entirely. I don't know. Whatever, I'm done with this vid :p

Merlin decides its the right time to show Arthur he has magic, but Arthur doesn't react well. He is hurt and feels betrayed and even though Merlins life is never at risk for Arthur is a better man than his father, something worse happens, their friendship breaks and as hard as Merlin tries, he cannot change Arthurs mind. Merlin remembers when Arthur called him brave and wants to find this Arthur again (I wanted that to look like Merlin wrote down a diary of sorts and was reading it to bring back a memory) It is only when Merlin decides to leave Camelot, that Arthur realises how much his friend has done for him, that he cannot live without him and so Arthur goes after Merlin but Merlin is not ready to forgive him for he has been hurt too. But they are two sides of the same coin and cannot be without each other because it is too hard and so cold.
I wanted to make it very dark deliberately because I didn't want there to seem any hope for their friendship to be fixed, that everything they had was destroyed so I wanted the lack of colour to reflect that (I know some scenes are a little too dark though!) But I wanted to leave some hope at the end, that Merlin and Arthur would find each other and each would be forgiven. Music is 'So Cold' By Ben Cocks

Finally! The video is finished. This took like forever. Both, to edit and to render.
I almost gave up, but I pulled myself together and kept working on it, since it's for the BOIT competition after all and I didn't want to waste a spot. Well what do I have to say about the video itself? I really don't know. I just don't like it and it didn't come out the way I actually imagined. Probably I gave myself just a much too hard time with this topic. But however, let me explain the story behind it. So for all of you who don't know, I made this video for the third round of the BOIT challenge. The task was to switch the roles of two characters. As you can see, I took Merlin and Arthur from the BBC tv-show Merlin.
The original plot:
Merlin is a young warlock and arrives in Camelot. There he meets Gaius, who will become his mentor. From the Great Dragon he learns that his destiny is to protect the future king and right now crown prince of Camelot, Arthur. In episode 1.13 Arthur gets attacked by the Questing Beast, which, according to mythology, appears before a time of great upheaval. All this happens while he tries to find and kill the monster. Merlin of course saves him by using magic.
My plot:
I obviously switched the roles of Arthur and Merlin. Now Merlin is Crown Prince of Camelot and Arthur is the young warlock, who doesn't know how to deal with his magic. But Gaius tries to help him with giving him a book with lots of spells and stuff like that. Later on, again the Questing beast is up to mischief and Uther, the current king, orders Merlin to ride out and to kill the monster. Arthur goes after him, because it's his destiny to protect Merlin. Merlin gets attacked, but Arthur saves him by using his magic.
So yeah. I know the video isn't really anything near great. Many flaws and little errors. (Look at the fake crown on Merlin for instance ^-^) But you know I just didn't find the inspiration most of the time to work on this. However I'm glad I finished this and if I don't pass this round, which presumably will happen anyway, I'm still happy that I got so far. =)
