Doing the drugs is supposedly what altered his voice. He was clean throughout this and Core, and also Velvet Revolver's Libertad.

The good thing about the Offspring's music is there are a lot of "yeahs" and "whoas" and you don't necessarily have to speak English very well to sing a long to it.
