The name is Neon Hades, better known among his friends and relatives as Tim Kiely, practising Catholic, born again Bolshevik, eternal Irishman, dedicated rocker, politician-botherer, amateur artist, casual philosopher, good window-kisser (apparently), hero-in-training, seeker of the peace, champion of the oppressed and all round good guy. List of qualifications aside, I like to think of myself as a pretty reserved, quiet kinda guy who likes to keep up an air of dignity and maturity, liberally interspersed with randomized shots of total insanity (ask my friends if that contains even the slightest nugget of truth). I try to be as genial and polite to people as I can, but if I smell potential injustice, then the Bolshevik side of my character erupts to the surface in a veritable firestorm of hot-blooded passion. Such triggers, for the record, include the economic oppression of the Third World, racism, religious bigotry, snobbery, the continued and pointless existence of the monarchy and the audio pestilence that is manufactured pop music, all of which I mean to fight tooth and nail until someone drags me away, kicking and screaming. And preferably in the direction of a Guiness and a pretty girl.

Acting is a big player here, as any of my good friends at either BSS Spotlight or MAC Youth Theatre will tell you, as is writing (poetry, plays, novels, rock songs) and debating (read: arguing). I am the proud father of a family of musical instruments who are, in order of ascending age, Artemis (an Epiphone SG electric guitar), Thor (an Epiphone Thunderbird IV bass guitar), Nyx (a Squier by Fender Affinity P-bass) and Libby (a Fender DG-5 acoustic guitar). And I put all of those instruments, as well as my throbbing vocal chords, to good use when rocking out with my band, Stowaway!
