In order to find a real and lasting happiness we must disconnect from the Matrix or veil that disguises ultimate Reality.

In the mystical world, the number 108 is the key that will guide you out of the Matrix. These are the number of steps required in order to graduate from this earth plane.

The dharma teaches about the 10 bhumis and 8 consciousnesses. Putting them together equals 108. It would be beneficial to discern all these levels of mind.

And as you sharpen your mind through Shamatha (concentration) and Vipashana (insight) meditation you will progress through these stages of practice.
