Every time Hitchens speaks, it's like the other three are hearing these stories for the first time. It's as if he's conducting a current affairs class for them.

Why is it that every theist seems to push the burden of proof for his beliefs onto anyone that doesn't believe them. How does that make sense to anyone?

Americans tend to treat religion the same way they treat politics and nationalism: as a team sport. Being informed isn't necessary. The important thing is your conviction that you're right and the best and anyone that disagrees is the enemy. Aggressive ignorance is our national identity.
