@c2thej2theizzo It's a tool. You use what you use to make your sound. It's obvious pros aren't paranpoid like hobbyists to use rounds on fretlesses. Just ask them wether they care about replacing fretboards after they're been replaned too many times....they don't.

@JoniZhivago Yup that is. It's an early model called the Pro Bass (Pro2e). Same body shape as the later more common Mk1, but it has a pickguard and a bigger headstock shape, and slightly different electronics. Same model in the Bow Wow Wow video I Want Candy.

It could be because many older fuzz/disortion pedals just suck the bottom end out of the bass signal. That has been my experience with fuzz pedals, anyway. He's probably using the eq to keep lowend in the signal.

@parristar . Often times yes, it the preamp has a hot enough output you can plug headphones right into it, but it isn't a very loud signal. But if they are stereo phones you will only hear in one side. Just remember to unplug so you kill the battery.
