I come from the Metal Genre but am getting into dubstep, Metal originated in the USA and dubstep in UK yet UK has great metal (Iron Maiden is most popular example) and america I assume will have great dubstep, if not now then later I would imagine...

Well said, even subgenres of metal can contain sub-subgenres themselves. Such as Gothic Metal having the Cradle of Filth style (I understand this label is controversial) and bands like Lacuna Coil and this which can also be categorized as Gothic Metal.
