i guess it depends of the country too, my family, grand parents etc.. would also find a lot of sick traditions wrong, and we haven't had these in my family..
i guess the problem is about believing in things blindly...

i dont agree with you. you have probably a barbaric family and you think that it generally happens. i am a muslim and my family and our relatives and our friends and friends of our friends do not accept the marriages of relatives. it is perverted, silly and not acceptable. and we think THAT IS NOT OKAY.

I am an ex muslim & I agree that the Quran has a lot of bad things in it, however the worst thing that Muslims do (& the Quran & parents promote) is that a great many of them marry their first cousins!!!!!!!!!! No joke, out of my relatives...nearly half of them married their first cousins. I know this is the reason why there are a lot of backwards thinkers & barbaric people withing Muslims. It's not a rare occurance, it occurs in EVERY muslim country (by great numbers). Like I said, nearly half of my relatives married their first cousins. It's stupid, but 26 out of 50 states in the USA allow first cousin marriages. Some retarded doctors think it's okay, I even met a couple, one of which seemed very smart (thick glasses) & said there's nothing wrong with it. BULLSHIT
