MARFAN SYNDROME
Marfan syndrome is a genetic disorder that weakens multiple body systems, including the heart, blood vessels, bones and joints, lungs and eyes. The life-threatening part of Marfan syndrome is the weakening of the aorta, the large blood vessel that carries blood from the heart. Early diagnosis and treatment are essential for maximizing life expectancy.

	nubian47 (1 year ago) Didn't know this was here. I was diagnosed at age ten after my father died from dissecting aneurysm. My brother passed from complications due to surgical correction of extreme scoliosis, and my oldest brother from dissecting aneurysm while in the air force.I am fifty now thank god my last echo came back completely normal.
