I thought I'd share it with you all.

Today is the Best Day of My Life
Today, when I woke up, I suddenly realised that this is the best day of my life, ever!
There were times when I wondered if I would make it to today; but I did!
And because I did I'm going to celebrate!
Today, I'm going to celebrate what an wonderfull life I have had so far: the accomplishments, the many blessings, and, yes, even the hardships because they have served to make me stronger.
I will go through this day with my head held high, and a happy heart.
I will marvel at nature's seemingly simple gifts: the morning dew, the sun, the trees, the clouds, the birds, the flowers.
Today, none of these miraculous creations will escape my notice.
Today, I will share my excitement for life with other people. I'll make someone smile.
I'll go out of my way to perform an unexpected act of kindness for someone I don't even know.
Today, I'll give a sincere compliment to someone who looks down.
I'll tell someone I love just how deeply I care for them and how much they mean to me.
Today is the day I quit worrying about the things I don't have and learn to appreciate things i already have.
I'll remember that to worry is just a waste of time because I know deep down, everything will be just fine, you know?
And tonight, before I go to bed, I'll go outside and raise my head to the skies.
I will stand in awe at the moon and the stars, and I will just be gratefull for what nature has given us really.
As the day ends and I lay my head down on my pillow and I will think, Yeah, I've had the best day of my life.
And I will sleep the sleep of a contented child, excited with expectation because I know tomorrow is going to be the best day of my life!

This video is just the tip of the iceberg with regards to the amazing art videos that have been made as a response to this MAKE ART campaign.
Background:
YouTube.com doesn't have an ART CATEGORY.
They should have.
Scrap that.
WE should have.
So I started an open collaboration project. Whoever wanted to make a 1 minute video of themselves making art [featuring the slogan MAKE ART].
The response was truely overwhelming, with almost 300 video responses to date, and more being submitted daily. The project has taken over my life somewhat, but only because I let it, and it inadvertently resulted in me leaving my job to put the edit together. There were other reasons, but it was a contributory factor in getting the confidence to move forward with what I really wanted to do.
The edit has taken about a week, and I used iMovie. Premiere, I miss you.

A short documentary about what editing means to me. It's basically a montage about making a montage, sandwiched between a tiny introduction and a longer blog-esque ending. It's a little odd because it more-or-less documents the making of itself.
It's probably the most serious film I've ever made, and though this may come as a surprise I hope you can appreciate the change of direction.
This is my first film edited with Final Cut Pro. It was difficult at first, but I think I'm beginning to get a hang of the program. With the new editing software I was able to experiment with the following editing techniques: freeze frames, close ups, footage played backwards, disguised split screens, multiple exposure and time-lapse.
My biggest inspiration for this video would probably be "Man With a Movie Camera", a 1929 Russian experimental silent film. I'd recommend this film to everyone, the editing is absolutely amazing...
As far as feedback goes, I welcome it, as always. Constructive criticism is also welcome. And if you're looking to compliment me, the nicest thing of course, would be to compliment my editing.
Editing, especially digital film editing, is now something everyone can have a go at. It's easy and fun, so try and experiment with it!
