Yikes, I thought Chicago was bad but at least we have a good amount of bike lanes. Being from the DC metro area though... I do think that region has more crap drivers than most places I've lived.

I feel your pain. I commute in and out of Chicago every day. I must add though, unfortunately, the aggressive driving is not unique to Annapolis. Ride safe! (as safe as possible anyway)

Sorry to see the terrifying cycling conditions in your area. Time has come for you to apply for political asylum in The Netherlands or Denmark. I live in France and cycle everyday to go to work but I have cycled many times in the NetherLands and it was pleasant.

Sorry to hear you quit riding. I live in Taiwan and am sick of the chaos that is traffic here so I recently bought a folding bicycle and will use it in conjunction with bus/subway system to get to where I need to go.

Anyone who reads the local news knows: IT IS PERFECTLY LEGAL TO RUN OVER AND KILL A CYCLIST AND KEEP ON DRIVING IN MARYLAND. This has emboldened angry drivers. YOU ARE NOT SAFE ON THE ROADS AROUND ANNAPOLIS. Don't do it, its not safe!
